"Rosenfeld performs both stepdancing and clogging with an astonishing precision."

Dirty Linen Folk & World Music Magazine January 2000

Malke Rosenfeld is a seasoned performer and teacher fluent in a variety of traditional percussive dance styles including Cape Breton step dance, old-time clogging and flatfooting, and her own unique style of making rhythm with her feet.

Malke is a master instructor of dance.  She lifted us all from exactly where we started, each to a significantly higher performance level, all with good humor and no injuries!  She's a class act, I hope she's invited back again and again...Malke is a gem of an instructor and performer.

Adult Student, 2006

Malke's workshops and residencies for both adults and children bring clogging and step dance alive as traditional art forms and as vehicles for self expression and exploring rhythm concepts through movement.

"Your residency was really a treat and your programming is incredible. You have such a gift for engaging students and creating a space for them to gain confidence in their own creative choices."

Kerry Ginn, Education Director, The Carnegie Center for the Arts, Covington, KY

Malke's gift for integrating her art into school curriculum is evidenced by her new program, Math In Your Feet!.  This unique integration of math concepts and dance skills for 4th and 5th graders was created in collaboration with an elementary math specialist/teacher.
